Here are some links to sites with information on the Irish economy that you might find useful:

AIB Economics
Useful site hosted by AIB Bank that compiles information, forecast and news on the Irish and Global economies.  The monthly ‘Irish Economy Watch’ is a particularly useful compilation of economic statistics.

Bank of Ireland Economic Research Unit
Links to numerous timely reports and statistics on the Irish and international economies with a corporate and financial markets emphasis.

Central Statistics Office
The Central Statistics Office was established in 1949 as Ireland’s national statistics office with a mandate to collect, compile, extract and disseminate economic and social statistical information on Ireland.

Central Bank of Ireland
Publications from the Irish Central Bank.  Quarterly Bulletins are useful for general information with technical papers for more specialised topics.

Daft.ie
These Quarterly Reports are a good source for data and discussion on residential sale prices and rental values and the Irish property market in general. Ronan Lyons also has useful data and discussion on his own site.

Department of Finance
Website of Irish Department of Finance with links to publications, data and background papers on the latest annual budgets.

Economic and Social Research Institute
The ESRI produces research that contributes to understanding economic and social change that informs public policymaking and civil society in Ireland.  The Quarterly Economic Commentary provides a particularly useful overview of Irish macroeconomic development as well as articles on various topics.

Eurostat
Portal to the EU’s statistical dissemination service.  It’s sheer extent can mean that the site can be a bit intimidating but the Flagship Publications page might be a good place to start.

Government Departments
Links to the websites of Irish Government Departments.  Each Department then has an extensive site of its own.

IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook
IMD produce a cross country analysis of competitiveness every year.  The reports are expensive, but there are summaries available on the site.

International Monetary Fund
Home page for the IMF with numerous links to data and studies on global economies.  The twice-yearly, World Economic Outlook is a very good source of data with a long time series in the database.

Logistics Ireland
Logistics Consultants providing information and studies on logistics in Ireland and globally.

MaREI – Centre for Marine and Renewable Energy
MaREI is supported by Science Foundation Ireland and conducts research on marine and renewable energy applications. It is coordinated by the Environmental Research Institute at University College Cork with 130 researchers across 6 academic institutions and 45 industry partners.

Site with a range of articles on various topics ranging from global developments and policy to career skills, health and social development.

National Competitiveness Council
The National Competitiveness Council acts advises the Taoiseach on competitiveness issues facing the Irish economy.

Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
OECD home page with extensive links to a very large collection of data and publications on the global economy and country specific studies.  The OECD Economic Outlook is very useful.

The Irish Economy
Discussion site on topics related to the Irish and European economies.  Inevitably, posts tend to be opinionated, but are mostly well informed making it the best location for discussion on this topic.  A wide range of mostly academic contributors.
